The Waves of Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park









Outside Tofino we hit up the famous surfer's paridise Long Beach, a part of Pacific Rim National Park. The big waves swept in one after another.

Why do you say "infamous?" Hitler was infamous. The Indonesian tsunami was infamous. Auschwitz is infamous. I think, perhaps, you mean famous? Infamous is for people/events/places that are famous for not the best of reasons. (Lovely pictures though!)

Due to some of the largest waves in Canada and a nasty undercurrent this beach is notorious for taking the lives of surfers.

We did actually mean 'infamous' (but it is a bit of an exaggeration for dramatic affect).
