Alissa Got a Traditional Herbal Medicine Manicure and We saw the 35th Annual Herb Chopping Contest!!!

There were tones of free hands on things to experience at the festival. The first hands on hands thing was a herbal manicure. Alissa couldn't resist it. They packed a bunch of this sweet smelling brown stuff on her hands for about 5 minutes then they wiped it off. Alissa said that it tingled a little, after her hands felt soft and sexy!!!
I tried to get in on this treatment too being the metrosexual guy I am (is that term still popular) but they said that, "It's only for women".
I said "What about gay men!"
They laughed!
I guess I'm not a convincing gay.
I didn't get the treatment.
After having fun with a large wooden hammer and table, used traditionally for pounding rice and herbs, we tailed it to the main event of the week the 35th Annual Herb chopping contest for some herb chopping good fun!
Really, it wasn't as action pack as I thought it would be. The contestants were in a deep state of concentration as they carefully sliced through the aromic herbs. There was one interesting character though, an old man who chopped herbs like an artists' brush strokes a canvas (see pic above).

Sounds like you guys are having too much fun! Don't you ever work?? Haha :-) ... We miss you both so much (especially now that it is summer) and you won't be camping with us etc. That makes us sad. If you were staying in Korea for one more year, we have decided we would move there for that year too!! When are you coming home!?? A few months?? Will you be home for a while before you go to Vancouver?
