Meandering In The Maritimes: How To Eat The Bestest, Freshest Lobsters In All Of Canada- Part I

Our newly acquired uncle, Kevin, bent over backwards for us (yes, you did too Eleen) during our six day stay. This is more of Kevin's “How To” than ours.

Kevin picked up Alissa, Matthew, and our cousin and Richard's sister, Carolyn, and we headed out side Halifax to the Head of Jeddore to a famous fresh seafood shop called Lobster World in Muskadobit.

On the way there Carolyn claimed that she knew ½ the town in that little fishing village by the sea.

When we arrived at Lobster World we were greeted at the door by a friend of Carolyn's (she wasn't kidding). He took us to where the lobsters are stored.

The shop is actually backing right onto the sea. The lobsters are stored in large grey bins that remain submerged until hungry sea-food lovers come to buy them up.

Carolyn's burly buddy helped us to select the best ones and after playing around with the feisty crustaceans we headed back to Kevin & Eleen's place with 8 new passengers.

When we got back to their place in Halifax (Dartmouth- to be exact), we opened up the box in the back yard and gave our soon-to-be-meals some final concessions as we prepared the lobster cookin equipment.
